Message Whilst I don't have 720cc injectors nor a programmble management system in my car (YET!) I don't believe everyone should point their fingers at the injectors (I think an old wives tale is about to start on tt.net)

You guys are trying to run these big injectors on the piece of custard stock ecu box.

One of my friends has/had a TTZ with 555cc injectors using stock ecu with jwt chip. to put it bluntly he never made any decent power..tried with all sorts of ecu maps, it was always dumping way too much fuel (JWT gave blanket response of "the maps work fine"). So he almost put a MOTEC system in it till I told him about the cheaper LINK system, hello rip out stock ECU and replace with LINK aftermarket system change from Air Flow Meter to Manifold Pressure sensor and BINGO heeeelllllooo power through better fuel mapping.

With 720's I think the situation only gets worse.

Of the many articles I have seen of big turbo, big injector big everything the successful (aka fast) cars have one thing in common. Aftermarket computers, be it Motec, Haltech, or whatever.

THAT SAID I have SAT in Kyle@SGP's car with its 720s... idle was FINE..slightly lumpy but altogether liveable and power was more than adequete teheheheh..

There could be a few dodgy 720 maps floating around, or it could be a case of the AFC hack for running the bigger injectors. Either way in my humble opinion if you're going for 720's then fer chrissakes do it properly and put in a programmable computer and TUNE the mapping for YOUR CAR. I'm surprised about how little programmable computers are talked about on the forum.. it's amazing. You come downunder and every quick racecar has had the computer replaced..

: Ok, this time around I'm going to do things right. New motor is being build. All new gaskets, machine work to the heads and block. For now I plan on running my mildly modified stock turbos. I plan on running larger turbos in the future (within a year). My question is would I have a problem running 720cc injectors with stock turbos? The ECU will be programmed for the injectors.
